Hi there!
I am Chengli Wang. I am an assistant professor in the Department of Government and Public Administration at the University of Macau. My research interests lie at the interface of experimental political science and comparative politics. Currently, I am focused on information politics, examining how information flows and is controlled, as well as the effects of political rumors, disinformation, and paranoia on the political economy of development.
I received a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Nevada, Reno, in May 2018, an M.A. in Law from Southwest University of Political Science and Law, and a B.A. in Public Administration from Beijing Normal University. I taught at the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics from August 2018 to July 2021.
My research has appeared in the Journal of Development Economics, Comparative Political Studies, International Journal of Press/Politics, International Affairs, Political Studies, and Journal of Chinese Political Science, among other peer-reviewed journals.
