UNIVERSITY OF MACAU
Hi there!
I'm an assistant professor in the Department of Government and Public Administration at the University of Macau.
My research interests lie at the intersection of experimental political science and information politics, with a specific focus on how political rumors, digital activism, and paranoia impact governance and influence citizens’ perceptions. Additionally, from a political economy perspective, I explore how the flow and control of information affect state order and the process of modernization.
I received a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Nevada, Reno, in May 2018, an M.A. in Law from Southwest University of Political Science and Law, and a B.A. in Public Administration from Beijing Normal University. I taught at the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics from August 2018 to July 2021.
My research has appeared or is forthcoming in the Journal of Development Economics, Comparative Political Studies, International Journal of Press/Politics, International Affairs, Political Studies, and Journal of Chinese Political Science, among other peer-reviewed journals.
