CHENGLI WANG
Assistant Professor at the Department of Government and Public Administration
UNIVERSITY OF MACAU
Hi there!
I am Chengli Wang. I am an assistant professor in the Department of Government and Public Administration at the University of Macau. My research interests lie at the interface of experimental political science and comparative politics. My current research focuses on information politics, specifically how information flows and controls, political rumors (misinformation and disinformation), and information technology influence the political economy in authoritarian regimes.
I received a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Nevada, Reno, in May 2018, an M.A. in Law from Southwest University of Political Science and Law, and a B.A. from Beijing Normal University of Public Administration. I taught at the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics from August 2018 to July 2021.
My work has been published or will soon appear in Comparative Political Studies, the International Journal of Press and Politics, International Affairs, Political Studies, and the Journal of Chinese Political Science, among other peer-reviewed journals.
