UNIVERSITY OF MACAU
Hi there!
I'm an assistant professor in the Department of Government and Public Administration, Faculty of Social Science, at the University of Macau.
As a comparative politics scholar, my research interests lie at the intersection of experimental political science and information politics, with a specific focus on the effects of political rumors, information technology, and social paranoia on governance and public opinion. I also explore the political economy regarding how the flow and control of information affect state order and contribute to patterns of underdevelopment.
My research has appeared or is forthcoming in the Journal of Development Economics, Comparative Political Studies, International Journal of Press/Politics, International Affairs, Political Studies, and Journal of Chinese Political Science, among other peer-reviewed journals.
I received a Ph.D. in political science from the University of Nevada, Reno, an M.A. in law from Southwest University of Political Science and Law, and a B.A. in public administration from Beijing Normal University.
